BC Defenses Giant Fortified Triangle
Yorke Island is being fortifies with undisclosed armaments. Two six-inch naval guns will be set up on the Prospect Point Escarpment. All activities to cease at 11 a.m. for 2 minutes of silence for soldier dead. Flags to be flown at half mast until the Brockton Point gun sounds at 11 o'clock when all flags will be mastheaded. When the gun is again fired, after two minutes, the bells of the Pro-cathedral will ring with muffled clappers for 15 minutes. Whistles will be blown as they were blown on Armstice Day three years ago. Join us on our Centennial Birthday Party 2020 and we can compare your Remembrance Day with that of 1921!
