The uploading of Second Lieutenant Edward (Ted) Edmonds photos continue with his Lieutenant qualification course at Fort Osborne, Winnipeg and a field exercise in Sarcee. Check out the rest of the collection in the 1929 Yearbook.
The band played in the TELUS presents the Vancouver Santa Claus Parade this year once again! Is there anyone out there that would care to write up a story about the parade? Check out the pictures here.
Edward (Ted) Edmonds adventure in 15th Field Brigade, Canadian Artillery continues with his attendance on an exercise in Langley and on a Part 2 Qualifying Course. We're not exactly sure what the course entails. Check out the other pictures in the 1928 Yearbook.
When I joined the regiment in 1970 part of the enlistment process was to go downtown Vancouver to "Edmonds Regalia" and purchase an artillery belt buckle to be worn with your battle dress. I still have that belt buckle but Edmonds Regalia has been closed for many years. Ted Edmonds left a large collection of photos with the Museum that includes his time spent with the 15th Field Brigade, Canadian Artillery. I'll be uploading some of his photos over the next week. There's more on this page from his time on course at the Royal Canadian School of Artillery in 1928.
The 1978 Yearbook has been updated to a more user-friendly look. Check it out, take it for a spin, let me know if you find any errors. Are you featured in any of the photos? Send me a story! Or just send me an email saying hi and let us know what's going on in your life. After all, 1978 was forty years ago!
Soviet Salute
The photographs are labelled "Soviet Salute 1976". Can anyone shed some light as to the specific date, event ship? Were you there? Check out the other pictures of the event in the 1976 yearbook. Three new pictures added to the 1975 Yearbook from Milcon in Fort Lewis. Were you there? Have you got any stories to add?
Found some more photos from MILCON 87. I'm sure there's more out there in photo albums around Vancouver. Take a look at the ones that I've put on line here and send me copies of your collection!
Recruiting Office
A new rug was recently delivered to the recruiting office. Nice! Bring a friend along the next time you go to the Armoury. Have them check out the recruiting office and talk to Captain Morrison. He's got some great information on summer employment! |
